pro sport 450 range finder opinion – Golf – Its solid product for hunters. yardage is right on. I used it for golf. I had to use trees as reference points or someone holding the flag in the group ahead. That is the work around. My friend has the nikon version and his hits the pin every time no matter if the flag is down or or up. Go with the pin seeker model. Wont regret it!
Never received – Enrico Ughetti – Indianapolis, INI try to have the item, but all that I did was unsuccessful.Miss delivery at the correct address (surveilled 24/7), refund without answer at my question sent via email, answer after refund procedure with a pre-wrote mail very confused and uselessness.
I never received this item, and received a less refound than I had paid with my pre payed credit card.
Limitations and workarounds – Golf Fanatic – Fairborn OH USAHave already reviewed this product on-line. Perhaps it was from the actual vendor – I couldn’t tell. Upshot is that is seems to be relatively accurate, but limited. Ability to acquire the flag if hanging limp (from almost any distance) is is nil. Ability to acquire flag form beyond 135-140 yards is limited. Otherwise, quite useful from closer in. Workarounds are acquision of trees appearing visually to be +- 15 yards from flagstick location. Not a bad purchase for the price if you’re willing to find a few workarounds. A reasonable complement to a GPS.

The GolfBuddy World Platinum is designed for use by the golfers of all skill levels. With its full function touch screen, users can point to anywhere on the course and attain distance to and from that point. The World Platinum presents a dynamic and simple to use interface. The World Platinum is both shock and water resistant.
Take the guesswork out of your golf game with the GolfBuddy World Platinum, a true GPS rangefinder with automatic course and hole recognition. The Golf Buddy World Platinum–which comes preloaded with 40,000 courses from around the world–helps you gain confidence on the course by telling you exactly how far and where to go with every shot. The unit is equipped with a full-color, high-resolution, outdoor-visible touchscreen that gives you the exact distance to greens, bunkers, lakes, lay-up points, trees, and more. The view of the green is dynamic, meaning the Golf Buddy World Platinum changes the shape of the green depending on your angle of approach. Need to know whether the trees on the right are in play, or whether the far bunker is within range of your 7-iron? Just grab the Golf Buddy World Platinum and it provides all the information you need. Users can easily switch back and forth from the full layout mode (with zoom in and zoom out options)–which helps them gauge the distance to any point throughout the course–and the standard numbers mode, which displays the distance to the front, center, and back of the green as well as key target points. You can also customize your own target points. Plus, there’s no need to aim the GPS to obtain distance information, as the GolfBuddy World Platinum automatically recognizes your surroundings. Just turn it on and play.
The GolfBuddy World Platinum automatically displays the distance to the green and calculates the distance to sand traps, ponds, and other hazards.
How the GolfBuddy World Platinum Works The GolfBuddy World Platinum offers a number of features that help you take your golf game to the next level. The four-player score tracking feature, for example, lets you record countless rounds, and includes tags for the course and date. This helps you calculate your handicap and track your progress over time. The GolfBuddy World Platinum also calculates the actual distance you hit with each club–a critical component for lowering your scores. Just mark your starting position, hit your shot, and walk to where the ball landed. And to help you improve your course management skills, the GolfBuddy World Platinum tracks your distance from the green (front, center, and back) at all times and the distance of all in-play hazards. The unit lists every item that can affect your play, even if you can’t see it from your present location. The GolfBuddy World Platinum even provides the lay-up (approach) and carry distances for each hazard, so you’ll know how to effectively bypass the ponds and sand traps that lay in wait.
Perhaps the coolest feature, however, is the automatic course recognition. Rather than requiring you to sort through thousands of pre-loaded courses, the GolfBuddy World Platinum automatically locates your course and hole the minute you turn it on. This helps you keep your mind focused on your game rather than your GPS unit. Other features include a shock- and water-resistant case, 50-channel satellite reception, multiple language recognition, and a high-capacity lithium-ion rechargeable battery. The GolfBuddy World Platinum–which doesn’t require any annual or course download fees–comes with a USB data cable, belt clip, and swivel holster.
Golf Buddy World Platinum Range finder – David A. Raynsuh – wolverine lake, MI United StatesI used this product for 5 straight days. The battery life is limited. I was able to play 24 holes out of the 36 on the same day before the unit turned off (I gave it a full charge every night). Of the seven courses played in Michigan only 3 had the full hole view. All other courses were a picture of the green with yardages. I was disappointed that most courses I played only showed the hole view with limited course targets. Many holes had no targets listed as I stood there looking at sand traps and water. You can add targets, but when I play a course on vacation I wold not add targets. When the hole view worked, it was fun and helpful.

One of the most common clinical problems I see in my practice, orthopedic carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). I am sure that you or someone you know, has suffered from CTS. undergo in the United States alone, more than 100,000 people a year carpal tunnel surgery. For such a common disease, it is amazing that the doctors so little understanding of what actually causes have carpal tunnel syndrome.
We know that the carpal tunnel syndrome with certain medical conditions, such as is associatedDiabetes, thyroid disease and gout. Furthermore, it is generally believed that repetitive use of hands and wrists causes CTS. However, no scientific study ever proved a direct link between a specific job activity and carpal tunnel syndrome.
The truth is that the causes of CTS, we are doctors call multifactorial. This means that several factors, including work and leisure over-use, medical history, genetics, and who knows what else contribute to allSyndrome very often.
Although golf is not tunnel syndrome was found direct cause of the wrist, the repetitive use of hands and wrists in golf could certainly contribute to a view. But to say that playing a few rounds of golf per month point is an important factor in the development of your CTS is probably stretching. The same can not be true for the serious amateur or professional, for whom the countless hours of practice and could play its toll. ForOne has, Ken Venturi stated that he develops such severe carpal tunnel syndrome in both hands, that his career was over Touring.
Carpal tunnel syndrome occurs as a result of damage to the median nerve. Since this nerve travels from the forearm to the wrist, passes through a structure called the carpal tunnel. The wrist (carpal) bones form the floor of the carpal tunnel, and a thick belt forms the roof. Packed into the tunnel, together with the N. median, most of the flexorTendons way to the fingers. For inflammation and swelling of the tendons crowding and increased pressure on the nerve median lead is the result of CTS. The increased pressure on the nerve causes it to malfunction resulting in the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome.
Patients with carpal tunnel syndrome describe several classic symptoms. Numbness and tingling of the thumb and index finger and middle finger (and sometimes the whole hand) are the hallmark of CTS. AnnoyingNumbness can occur both during the day (while things such as driving, holding a phone or with hand tools) and night (patients are often awakened from sleep by numbness in the hands). Clumsiness and weakness when they try to grab things are also common complaints. It may be in pain and.
A course of rest, wrist splinting (especially at night), and anti-inflammatory drugs are often the first treatments for carpal tunnel syndrome. Determination of work-or leisure activities that exacerbate the situation could also be helpful. Find ways to get the job done with less energy to get less reps, and / or less movement at the wrist can help. the golfer, measures – such as easing pressure on the handle during the address phase of the golf swing and for ensuring that golf grips are worn regularly – can be easily replaced to reduce the load on the wrists, hands, and to minimize the severity of CTS . Wearing a glove on each handcan provide additional cushioning. Finally, just in the rounds of golf played swabs or the number of bullets in the series take weeks to recover each of you to help an injured nerve.
The conservative measures listed above are the most successful for early and mild cases of CTS. Studies show that only about one-third of patients respond to these simple measures. For the rest, a surgical procedure to be the only answer – or, as one of my former roommate used to say, is the only cure left hotLights and cold steel!
The concept behind CTS operation is quite simple – the tunnel is "unroofed" by cutting the strip overlying the nerve. This gives the nerve extra breathing space, which is usually enough to recover the injured nerve and to correct for the symptoms. In the early 1900s, surgeons mistakenly believed that CTS was caused by pressure on the nerves at the base of the neck and that the treatment was rib resection. Ouch! For those of you who constantly long for the"Good old days", I recommend you, memories of five per cent Hershey bars and leave from the early days of the medicine stick.
The operation can be performed either through an open incision or through tiny incisions using a camera (endoscopic technique). Either way, the success rate of CTS surgery is very high. Postoperatively, patients can return to the Gulf as soon as the incision is healed and wrist strength and mobility have, again normally.
If you or someoneYou know is experiencing the symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome, be sure to see an orthopedist. A delay of treatment not only leads to unnecessary suffering, it can lead to irreversible nerve damage with permanent numbness and weakness. One of the other side (bad pun intended) can you get treatment promptly back on the golf course in the shortest possible time.

I’ve used the Sonocaddie XV2 for two seasons now both here (New Jersey) and in Myrtle Beach. I had the first generation Skycaddie and returned it after a month because it was unreliable (frequently did not pick up satelites). The SV2 has been great. It always picks up at least 6 satellites and is highly accurate with distances. I rarely have had an experience where I could not find a course in their online database and when I could not, the courses I requested were added quickly. Downloading of courses is a snap and can be done from any PC, which makes traveling easy if you have access to teh Internet.
The unit has never so much as hicupped, though sometimes with a lower amount of satellites it can take a few seconds to ‘lock in’ your distances. Very light, easy to use and handy with the included belt clip. The unit is powered by regular aaa batteries, which I feel is better than the GPS units you have to charge ’cause you can always carry spare batteries but a 110 volt outlet is rare on a golf course. I get at least a half dozen rounds out of a set of aaa batts. Free course downloads as well (no subscriptions).
The only downside is that the unit can be difficult to read in dim very conditions, though the contrast is adjustable. That said I highly recommend the Sonocaddie SV2.
Sonocaddie is the perfect, lightweight handheld GPS device that clips right onto your waist or golf bag to help you better manage your golf game. Download and store up to 20 golf courses at one time from your laptop or PC, free unlimited downloads and ability to share course info amongst other Sonocaddie users. The units calculates the distance from any point on the course to virtually any reference point including front, center and back of each green. Choose from over 13,000 courses currently mapped worldwide or map your own and upload to the website. Edit exisiting course information to suit your game. Operates on 3 Alkaline batteries that are included, simple downloads from your PC or laptop using USB cable provided, Vista compatible.
Are you serious about improving your game and having more fun on the course? Turn to the Sonocaddie XV2, a personal golf GPS navigator that accurately reads the distance between any two points on a course. Not only does this help you hit better approach shots while avoiding sand traps and water hazards, but it also lets you spend more time concentrating on your swing and less time worrying about the accuracy of your guesses. It’s the perfect accessory for the ultimate game of inches.
The palm-sized device fits easily in a shirt pocket or golf bag.
The Sonocaddie XV2 employs an advanced, high-tech GPS satellite system to measure the yardage between your lie and various hazards, so you always know what you’re up against. As an alternative, you can determine the distance from your lie to the green, even without a clear line of sight. And golf fanatics will love the driving distance function, which tells you how far you cranked the ball off the tee. Not only is this fun for bragging rights, but it’s also a valuable stat that reveals whether different course terrain and weather conditions are affecting your play.
The XV2 calculates the distance from your lie to the green.
The Sonocaddie XV2 is intuitive and user-friendly, with a straightforward interface that allows you to generate new course coordinates or edit existing coordinates in a matter of seconds. It’s also easy to access information about other courses by visiting Sonocaddie’s website, which offers the capacity to upload or download course data for free. Once you’re on the course, the Sonocaddie’s digital scorecard takes over, automatically calculating your total score with the simple touch of a button. The Sonocaddie even lets you share information about your favorite courses with other players via the included data cable. It may even help you win a few friends before you step onto the first tee.
The benefits of the Sonocaddie XV2 are legion: It eliminates the hassle and cost of hiring a caddie; it provides accurate, unimpeachable info; it saves time on the course by calculating the distance for you, so you don’t have to locate yardage markers; and its small enough to fit easily in your pocket or golf bag. The XV2, which runs for up to 10 hours on three AAA batteries, measures 2.2 by 4.05 by 1.08 inches (W x H x D).
What’s in the Box Sonocaddie XV2, Sonocaddie-to-PC serial adapter, serial-to-USB adapter, Sonocaddie-to-Sonocaddie adapter, belt clip, user’s manual.
Buyer beware of XV2 – G. Atkison – HENDERSON, KY, USI bought the XV2 December 24, 2009. During the 5 months since I purchased it I’ve played 12-15 rounds with it. It’s very basic but when it’s working properly it does all I need and all I expected. The orange button on the top right has quit working and the batteries drain after every round unless I take them out. I’ve contacted customer service and they’ve offered me the opportunity to purchase their new model that’s just coming out. They’ll graciously give me a credit for my XV2 I paid 5 for 5 months ago and let me use that credit to purchase their new 9 model. After I puked on that suggestion they said I could send it in to be repaired or more than likely be replaced with a refurbished model. I told them I paid 5 for a new model, have only used it 15 times and should get a new model to replace mine. They told me the XV2 was not being made anymore and they didn’t have any new models. I asked how Amazon, Golfsmith and others are selling new models. (It makes me wonder whether there are any new models and did I even purchase a new one from the beginning?????) Bottomline, I did a bunch of research, bought what I thought was the best unit for my needs at the best price and made a bad decision. I would recommend staying away from the XV2 and based on my experience stay away from Sonocaddie.
Love this thing! – J. Payton – Been using it for a year and I love this unit. Sure its not a pretty color unit but it gives me all the information I need and the maps are free and Sonocaddie will map a course for you pretty quick. if you don’t want to wait you can easily map a course yourself and even submit it to sonocaddie for others to download. Great unit and well worth the money!
Sonocaddie XV2 – Al Yurtkuran – This is without a question the worst golf GPS in the market. You can tell it is very cheaply made, I imagine slightest water or accidental drop can damage this unit very easily. Downloading a course information is a royal pain, and the instructions are not very clear, they do however attache an additional instructions for downloading. After downloading you’ve better go back and set your computer to its original settings, otherwise expect the surprises from your computer. Their customer service personnel are pleasant but not very helpful. Another bad experience! I wanted to make sure my course data was in their system, so I sent them all the info, and the score card. After waiting 2 months the course data was installed in their system. Finally I purchased the unit and guess what?????? Only 12 hole data was accurate the rest were GROSSLY wrong.I mean 100 – 200 yrds variations. So I called them to correct this data. They again ask me to send them more course information and the score card again. I am tired of dealing with a second class company and it is time for me to return the GPS back to them. The only reason I bought this unit because of no yearly membership fee, and I learned my lesson ” You get what you pay for it”.

Addressing the ball does not seek to IT and the introduction of yourself! How far from the ball helps to determine the strength and the length of your stroke. Putts needs of golfers as close as possible to stand the ball, while a drive needs to be a golfer, not far away.
The length of your club and the angle that the shaft comes out of his head, plays a role in the distance are from the ball. Note that the putter is usually the shortest Cluband the driver is the longest.
The length of the putter is important when game comes to your golf game. Always get into a comfortable position on the ball and bend your knees to prevent the easy to rigidity of the setting in.
Keep your balance as you go about your stroke is too important, and it is best at the hips than bend to the waist, in contrast, as this ensures that your eyes and your head are positioned correctly. Make sure that your weight is distributed evenlyto avoid necessary for a good shock to bring the club to realize with bowed head. Always separate your feet the right distance from the formation of a stable base.
A stable base, as the shoulder will be for the majority of golfers. Position your feet too far apart is a no-no, because this lead to the golfers that either bend your elbows to hit the ball or else to choke on the putter. These are things you better off avoiding on the golf course.
